Why Clementine (clemeyoga) is fascinated by how positively yoga can change people's lives and why she too found her inner peace through yoga, the passionate yogi has told us in a written message.
Yoga came into my life at a time when I really needed it. I had moved to Switzerland and the integration was not really easy. I felt very unhappy and in the new year I lost a loved one, so finding my way back up was very difficult.
One day I decided to change to feel better. I started trying new activities and accidentally came across a recommended YouTube video of Yin Yoga. I tried it out and was fascinated by the Yin Yoga lesson! Not only did I find the class challenging because it focused on shared flexibility, but the feeling I felt inside me after the class was just fantastic! I felt peace within me, I felt calm, I felt happy. I loved it so much that I continued the course and in January I started my daily morning yoga practice. Every day I got up an hour earlier to practice. In spite of this I have had much more energy and find more peace in my daily life since then. I also feel connected to the present moment again and enjoy the little things in my daily life much more. Since then I also perceive the beauty of the small things around me more consciously again.
I am grateful that I have found my way to yoga and that I can share this passion with other people today.
Yes, in 2019 I completed the 200 hours YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) at the Blooming Lotus Yoga in Bali.
At every practice I first sit on my mat with my legs crossed and take a moment to meditate and concentrate on my breath. While flowing I like to listen to music, but I also love the total silence where I can just listen to my breath and follow it as I move. Sometimes I also use scented or non-scented candles to accompany my practice. I enjoy the warm and cosy atmosphere that this creates in my yoga room.
I am fascinated by how it can change people's lives so positively. Yoga has helped me to return to inner peace and to regain the joy of life. It has helped me to return to the present moment and enjoy the little things in life again.
Yoga is also a true journey, accompanied on a path on which we grow, on which we learn to love and trust, as well as to listen to our body. My personal practice has taught me so much along the way. Now I try to practice yoga and meditation every day, because the effect it has on me is incredible! If you get involved in yoga, you will realize how amazing the lasting positive effects it has.
Yoga has definitely changed my attitude towards life. Back then, in 2016, I never thought that yoga could help me find my way back up and experience the loss of my loved one. For the positive attitude I have today, I will be grateful all my life.
I think yoga is so popular because everyone can find something in yoga. Whether you want to expand your spiritual path, lose weight/ increase flexibility, or become stronger. Also, many people find their inner peace and balance through the practice, can better deal with difficult events and can reconnect with themselves.
Whatever your current reason for beginning yoga, you will discover much more along the way!
I practice Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga.
So far I have been teaching my mother and other friends in French and my work colleagues in English. However, I have not yet found a studio to give a regular yoga class, but I hope to find one soon!
One of the best self-help books in life that I have read is "The Miracle morning" by Hal Erold. In his book, he introduces The Miracle Morning: A morning routine that has completely changed his life and now the lives of many more. It is a little book that is really worth reading! I have been practicing the Wundermorgen for about two years now.
I want to share positivity and love with them, inspire them through my texts and captions, give them tips for self-development and encourage them to become a better version of themselves!
I don't have a particular motto for life but I do have various quotes that inspire me, such as "Nothing is impossible" / "Everything begins in your head." / "You don't have to be perfect to be amazing" and many more, which I also like to share on my Instagram Channel.
That's a good question. I would like to start a family, make more trips and teach Yoga. This year my goal is to teach regularly and to deepen my knowledge, maybe soon in my own studio. I would also like to organize a mini-retreat in the Swiss mountains this summer to teach outdoors regularly during the summer.
Of course I want to continue to inspire people and spread positive vibrations on my Instagram.
I recommend to try it in different classes. There are so many different yoga styles, so it is important that you take your time to see what you like best. Afterwards you need consistent self-discipline, but don't focus on an end goal, enjoy the process and everything you learn along the way.
I especially love the Cube yoga mat because of the colors and the blue gradient. But I also like the white marble yoga mat very much!
