Three self-care recipe ideas, for the perfect start to the day

To live a happy and content life, you need love. But the more self-love you practise, the more valuable your own life becomes. Self-love gives us self-confidence, trust in our personal abilities, inner peace and strength. If we love ourselves, we are automatically more generous, tolerant, attractive, emotionally stable, balanced and successful in all areas of life.

In everyday life, small rituals play a big role. Probably the simplest exercise of the day, and at the same time the most difficult, is to take time to eat consciously. This does you good not only physically but also mentally and fills up your energy tank. When you learn to accept and love yourself more, you will begin to look at your personal health from a different angle. You will want to give your body the best so that it continues to function properly.

Berry Chia Glass

 

🛒Whatyou need for this:

  • 100 g frozen banana
  • 70 g frozen berries (I used raspberries)
  • 35ml vegetable milk (I used rice milk)
  • 30 g vegetable yoghurt (I used blueberry yoghurt)
  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds + more milk
  • Fresh berries to garnish

 

🍴 How do you do it?

  1. Freeze the banana overnight
  2. Soak the chia for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight).
  3. The next morning, put the frozen banana, frozen berries, plant milk, plant yoghurt and vegan protein powder in the food processor and puree. (The better the food processor, the less liquid is needed. If you don't have a food processor, you can also use a hand blender. Add more liquid if needed)
  4. Pour half of the beautiful cream into a glass and cover with the chia pudding. Add the remaining cream and garnish with some fresh berries.
  5. Enjoy it!

 

 

Berry smoothie bowl

🛒What you need for this:

  • 150 g frozen banana
  • 80 g frozen berries
  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder
  • 1/4 cup plant-based milk
  • Stevia or sweetener of choice
  • Garnish with: Peanut butter, banana, coconut flakes, figs

 

🍴How to do it:

  1. Freeze the banana overnight
  2. Blend all ingredients in a high quality blender or food processor until smooth.
  3. Then garnish the bowl with the topping of your choice and enjoy immediately.

 

 

Blueberry pancake

🛒What you need for this:

For the jam:

  • 80 g frozen berries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 25ml water

 The liquid ingredients:

  • 150ml vegetable milk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

The dry ingredients:

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon coconut blossom sugar

 

🍴How to do it:

  1. Put the ingredients for the jam in a saucepan and heat over a low heat. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then turn off the flame and let the jam swell for another 10 minutes.
  2. Pour all the liquid ingredients into a glass, stir and leave to infuse for 5 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, mix all the dry ingredients together.
  4. Heat a good quality frying pan (this way you don't need oil and the batter won't stick to the pan).
  5. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, stir and pour 1 large spoonful into the pan at a time
  6. Reduce the flame to medium-low and after 3 minutes turn to the other side
  7. Repeat the process until all the pancakes are golden brown.
  8. Spread with the homemade chia jam and enjoy.
