I would describe myself as a fun-loving and open person. I love challenges and growing from them. Travelling, healthy eating, sports and a small community of like-minded people inspire me in life. I am more introverted than extroverted, but I can talk for hours about topics that interest me - especially with people who are also interested. If I have the choice between city and nature, I choose nature. The "simple life" excites me.
I have done my trainings in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. My favourite yoga to teach and practice is Vinyasa. I like the creative aspect of it; getting on the mat, leaving everything behind, turning on music and just "flowing".
The perfect yoga class for me takes place outdoors and warm. For me, this gives the feeling of freedom - mentally and physically. I like to use music that motivates and inspires to discover yourself and your limits and to find the balance between pushing limits & respecting limits. A theme that runs through the class, an appropriate poem that rounds out the class and a few incense sticks contribute to a beautiful yoga experience for me personally.
I think "self care" is very individual. Person specific, seasonal, stress level, and life stage dependent. A few of my absolute favorite tools from the self-care toolbox are: a regular yoga practice, meditation, breathing exercises, facial and body massages, engaging with yourself and your goals, establishing a morning routine and goal-oriented habits, eating a healthy and balanced diet, pursuing a hobby, being outdoors, educating yourself, and actively taking breaks to slow down. Not every tool may feel coherent for everyone. Still, in yoga they say, "The thing you feel least like doing, you need the most." I think there's a lot of truth to that.
